Introduction

Develop the practical skills and technical knowledge needed for a career in the electrical industry. You'll learn how to install, test, inspect and maintain electrical systems using industry-standard equipment, while building the confidence to progress into employment, an apprenticeship or further study. Alongside your main course, you will also develop a broad understanding of clean energy technologies, providing valuable insight into the rapidly evolving low-carbon sector. This includes an introduction to carbon capture technologies, hydrogen awareness, hydrogen refuelling systems, and the principles of electrolysis, helping you build a strong foundation in the key technologies driving the transition towards a cleaner, more sustainable future.

What will you do

On our electrical course you will develop theoretical knowledge in health & safety, basic power tools/hand tools, electrical principles, drawings & symbols, Engineering Maths. Along with practical training in different electrical engineering disciplines, including motor control, electrical testing, wiring circuits and fault-finding techniques.

What's next

Progression on to a higher level engineering qualification which could then lead onto an engineering apprenticeship.
