Scaffolding delegates have been putting their hands in their pockets to raise funds for a good cause.

An annual collection, carried out by the NETA Training scaffolding team, saw staff, customers, and commercial learners, raise a whopping £1000 for local charities.

“Raising funds for good causes is part of the ethos at NETA,” said commercial training manager, Lisa Wells.

And, when it comes to this particular fundraising drive, led by scaffolding co-ordinator, Brian Ward, the scaffolding community are a particularly generous one.

The cash was split equally between Butterwick Hospice Care in Stockton and Middlesbrough’s Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.

Lisa explained: “The funds are generated by customers and scaffolding delegates undertaking a range of commercial scaffolding courses at NETA.

“Brian lets delegates know that the collection is there, but there is never any pressure or obligation to donate.”

This year’s charities were selected as Lisa explained many people, at some point, are impacted by the hospice’s work and they always like to select a children’s charity.

A massive thank you and well done to all those who donated!
